Our counseling ties together our in-depth knowledge of local, regional and foreign Intellectual Property law with our practical Business knowledge and experience to ensure that our clients are properly leveraging their intellectual property assets to the fullest extent possible in these highly competitive times.

Our copyright attorneys and other copyright professionals provide strategic guidance in developing, protecting and maximizing the returns on an intellectual property portfolio. We collaborate with specialized copyright agencies to educate the Cameroonian public on the impact of software infringement. Our attorneys are proud to be acting for the software giant Microsoft in Cameroon. JING & Partners also offers clients a full range of International Copyright Patent and Trademark services through our network of foreign associates. Additionally, we routinely provide opinions as to whether the activities of our clients may infringe upon the rights of third parties or whether third parties are infringing upon our clients' rights.

Our Trademark group obtains and maintains trademarks, trade names and copyright for many of our clients. Our attorneys are responsible for the protection of thousands of trademarks both in African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) covering the above mentioned sixteen African states as well as other West African Countries such as Nigeria and Ghana through our solid Intellectual Property Specialist network. JING & Partners also offer services related to searching and clearing potential trademarks before they are adopted and marketing investments are made. We have extensive trademark litigation in local courts and also represent our clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings in the OAPI Registry of Yaoundé, Cameroon.

We are registered members of the INTA and are proud to be one of the rare African IP Law Firms consistently attending all INTA meetings to meet our clients and other professionals in person, understand the business needs as well as our services to meet the best standards.

Clients also regularly ask our attorneys to assist in the negotiation of licensing transactions and technology transfers. We routinely structure and negotiate technology license agreements, software agreements, sponsored research and development agreements. Our attorneys are experienced in negotiating these transactions and ensuring that our clients are adequately protected, as licensors or licensees.
